32nd Australian National Amateur Wine and Beer Show

32nd Australian National Amateur Wine and Beer Show
The ANAWBS Committee seeks your assistance in bringing the attention of your club members to this year’s show. The full details are included in the attached pamphlet and are available from our website.
This year we are offering 24 wine classes (including cider), 24 beer classes and 2 label classes.  All wines and beers will be awarded points and medals will be issued based upon the merit of the entry.  Trophies will be awarded to the top three medal winning wines/beers for each class. Certificates will be awarded to First, Second and Third for each class and there will be “Most Successful” awards for Grape Winemaking, and Brewing.  Please note the criteria for all awards require the average of the specified best five classes – see the pamphlet for full details.  In addition, with the support of our sponsors we expect to be able to offer a number of valuable prizes to selected classes and award winners.
The beer competition has specific classes for both Australian and International styles and there is an  award for the Best Kit Beer of the Show. For the full grain beer enthusiasts there is the well-known Mash Paddle National All Grain Brewer of the Year Competition which is now incorporated into ANAWBS. The Mash Paddle style this year is Irish Red Ale.
There is also a free Amateur Label Competition with classes for Traditional and Modern labels.
Over thirty qualified judges are already committed to the show. They will provide a written critique with feedback to help entrants with their wine and beer making.
